We see adults at our clinic in Eixample, on Carrer del Consell de Cent. We practice structural and biodynamic osteopathy. One-hour sessions, with no abrupt manipulations, no «cracking».
The reasons for consultation are very varied: back pain, neck tension, headaches, sciatica, bruxism, TMJ, insomnia, functional digestive discomfort, after-effects of old sprains, post-sports pain, a general feeling of being blocked. Osteopathy is not an alternative to medicine. If a situation requires medical assessment, we will say so openly.
Marina and Nicolas trained for six years in France (CETOHM ISO Paris Est, recognised by the French State). We have been practicing in Barcelona since 2016. We speak Spanish, French and English.

Osteopathy can help to relieve aches, pains, tension, stiffness, and functional discomfort that affect daily life. It can also support situations of stress, fatigue, or a feeling of imbalance. Our approach seeks to understand how the body organises itself as a whole to promote lasting change, gently and precisely.
You can consult when pain appears, movement is limited, there are repeated discomforts, accumulated tension, or simply when the body gives signs that it needs support. Many people also come preventatively to maintain mobility, balance, and well-being.
Neck pain can be related to stress, posture, muscle tension, jaw issues, or general fatigue. Through holistic and respectful work, osteopathy can help reduce tension, improve mobility, and promote a greater sense of freedom in the neck and shoulders.

Sciatica can have different causes and always requires an individual assessment. Osteopathy can help when there are mechanical restrictions, muscular tensions or bodily adaptations that irritate the area. We work by looking for the relationships between the pelvis, spine, abdomen and postural system.
Yes. Stress isn't just experienced mentally, it's also expressed in the body: clenched jaw, shallow breathing, fatigue, muscle tension, or difficulty resting. Gentle treatment can promote deep relaxation and better overall regulation of the body.
No. Our working method is based on gentle, visceral and biodynamic osteopathy. We respect the body's rhythms and aim for beneficial changes without systematically resorting to abrupt manipulations. Listening and precision guide our work.
The usual duration of a session is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the individual and the reason for consultation. We dedicate time to listening, assessing, and treating in a personalised manner.
Adults of any age, from young people in the prime of their active lives to older individuals. Professionals with postural pain from hours spent in front of screens. Athletes with recurring tension. People suffering from accumulated stress. Patients with mobility limitations. Also, pregnant and postpartum women (dedicated page for those reasons: Osteopathy and pregnancy).
There isn't a single patient profile. Some people come for a specific, recent pain. Others, for a discomfort that has been around for a while. And others, because they feel something in their body is «out of place» without quite knowing how to explain it. All these situations are valid reasons to seek advice.
The most frequent indications in adult consultation:
Back pain. Functional lumbar pain, neck pain, pain between the shoulder blades, lower back pain that appears without a clear cause. We aim to understand where the tension originates, not just alleviate the pain. More details in the Back pain page.
Bruxism and TMJ. Nocturnal teeth grinding, jaw clenching upon waking, temporomandibular joint pain, clicking when opening the mouth. We work on the jaw, the base of the skull, cervical posture, and the relationship with stress. More at the Page about bruxism.
Insomnia and sleep difficulties. When the body cannot find rest, sometimes the problem is not just mental. Diaphragmatic tension, stiff cervical postures, a nervous system on constant alert. Osteopathy can help the body regain its calm. More at página sobre insónia.
Functional digestive problems. Reflux, bloating after eating, slow digestion, constipation. Osteopathy does not treat digestive diseases, but it can relieve visceral and diaphragmatic tension that often contributes to discomfort. More at the Page about digestive problems.
Headaches and neck tension. Often related to posture, stress, the jaw, or accumulated fatigue. We look for the cause, not just the symptom.
Sciatica and radiating pain. When a pain runs down the leg or arm, it is usually a peripheral nerve suffering pressure at some point along its path.
After a sprain, a fall, an accident. Physical after-effects can be worked on even years later, when the body hasn't felt like itself again.
General feeling of blockage or tension. Without a clear symptom, but with the feeling that the body isn't moving well. It's as valid a reason for consultation as sharp pain.
The osteopathy we practice, known as fascial and biodynamic osteopathy, involves very gentle pressure and listening to the tissues, with no abrupt manipulations or cracking. Our work aims to restore the body's global organisation, rather than focusing solely on the area where pain is present.
A session lasts an hour. We start with a conversation: what brings you here, how long has it been going on, how does it manifest, what have you tried before. Then comes a manual exploration, with you standing, sitting, and lying down. The treatment follows, adapted to what the body is showing that day.
We do not provide massages (that is a different profession, with its own training and techniques). We do not systematically perform spinal manipulations with thrusts. If, at any point, a more direct technique might be appropriate, we will discuss it with you beforehand and always with your agreement.
When a situation requires medical assessment, analysis, or imaging, we state it openly. Osteopathy is a complementary service to that of your GP, orthopaedist, or specialist, not a substitute.
Marina and Nicolas completed the official six-year course at CETOHM ISO Paris Est, a school recognised by the French State. Following this, we continued our training for years: tissue techniques with P. Tricot and F. Bel, biodynamic osteopathy with B. Josse (three years) and Hugh Milne (three years), perinatal osteopathy with A. Morgan, DO, in the UK, and traditional Chinese medicine at the IMTC in Shanghai (Marina).
We have been treating adults since 2016 in Barcelona. Before that, we practised in France for several years. Nicolas worked for four years in the maternity department of the Clinique des Noriets, in Vitry-sur-Seine, near Paris. Marina has specialised over the years in women's health and perinatal care.
We are both members of the Register of Osteopaths of Spain.
